Before I am a photographer, I am a daughter, a sister, an auntie, a friend. Maybe that's why I cry during every father daughter dance. I laugh at every toast. I well up when an Officiant pronounces a couple husband and wife. I buzz with joy chasing children around the playground. I feel awe when a newborn's tiny hand clutches my pinky finger. I draw from the emotions I have experienced through my own life's most precious moments to know when and how to capture those of others, and I usually can't help feeling overwhelmed myself! The emotional rush I feel when I'm behind the camera is what makes me love what I do. The joy I bring others through photography is what makes me do what I love.

Michelle and Ben :: Married!

On Sunday, I had the privilege of photographing Michelle and Ben's gorgeous wedding at Beth Tfiloh Synagogue in Baltimore, Maryland.

Michelle looked absolutely phenomenal. Her dress was amazing.

Ben's grandmother Rose is a truly remarkable lady. She gave a very sweet toast during the reception that brought tears to my eyes. Both Ben and Michelle have two amazing families.

I love this image because it really shows the chaos in the final minutes of getting ready.

The first time Michelle's dad saw her all dressed for the wedding.
What a great weekend - I had another terrific photographer with me on Sunday. Jenn Link came out to help me capture all the moments of this wedding. It's so nice having a second photographer - while I was busy photographing Michelle, Jenn caught this fun shot of the "Two Maddies" - Michelle and Ben's sweet flower girls.

I love this shot of Jenn's of Ben's dad helping Michelle's dad with the final touches of his tie.

Beth Tfiloh has a really nice courtyard where we took the bridal party and family pictures. This is right after Ben saw his gorgeous bride.

Michelle and her Two Maddies. Each of the Maddies' moms are close friends of Michelle's.

The sanctuary is really stunning.

Husband and Wife!

I had a wonderful time. Michelle and Ben, thank you so much for including me in your wedding day. Your slideshow will be up soon!
A big thank you to my dear friend (and former bride) Emily who did an outstanding job coordinating this wedding.
