Today, I went down to the US Botanic Garden with my friend, Kristen, and her son, Andrew. It was a gorgeous day - the nice weather was a welcome break in August's usual sweltering heat.
Andrew was as fascinated as Kristen and I were with the gorgeous display of Chihuly glass (part of the USBG's "Art in the Garden" Exhibition).
I think this is Andrew's favorite expression (for the moment!).
This picture has "fun" and "summertime" written all over it!
We decided to hang out a bit on the front lawn of the Capitol before heading to Union Station for some lunch and the Metro trip home.
