Before I am a photographer, I am a daughter, a sister, an auntie, a friend. Maybe that's why I cry during every father daughter dance. I laugh at every toast. I well up when an Officiant pronounces a couple husband and wife. I buzz with joy chasing children around the playground. I feel awe when a newborn's tiny hand clutches my pinky finger. I draw from the emotions I have experienced through my own life's most precious moments to know when and how to capture those of others, and I usually can't help feeling overwhelmed myself! The emotional rush I feel when I'm behind the camera is what makes me love what I do. The joy I bring others through photography is what makes me do what I love.

Sally and Jay :: Married! :: Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, Virginia

Sally and Jay are such an amazing couple with a decade long love story. It was such a joy and privilege to photograph their wedding celebration. I had the marvelous Hennessey Green with me to capture the day.

Sally looked stunning absolutely stunning!

I love this image Hennessey caught of Jay's mom helping him get ready.

Sally and Jay decided to see each other before the ceremony so we set up a special "first look" in the lobby of the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, which was the location of their ceremony and reception. I just adore this series of images.

We then headed to the Mall to get some photos with their sweet dog, Lebowski, near the Lincoln memorial.

We stopped by the Air Force Memorial for a few more pictures before heading back to the hotel for a short break before the ceremony.

Sally and Jay had the most personal wedding ceremony I've attended. Their families are so lovely and warm and caring. I absolutely cry at every wedding, but this one especially got the water works going! I doubt there was a dry eye in the ballroom.

The next two images are by the fabulous Hennessey.

Sally and Jay had the cutest cake!

Sally and Jay, it was such a great pleasure to be a part of your wedding day! I had so much fun and really enjoyed getting to know you both!
