Before I am a photographer, I am a daughter, a sister, an auntie, a friend. Maybe that's why I cry during every father daughter dance. I laugh at every toast. I well up when an Officiant pronounces a couple husband and wife. I buzz with joy chasing children around the playground. I feel awe when a newborn's tiny hand clutches my pinky finger. I draw from the emotions I have experienced through my own life's most precious moments to know when and how to capture those of others, and I usually can't help feeling overwhelmed myself! The emotional rush I feel when I'm behind the camera is what makes me love what I do. The joy I bring others through photography is what makes me do what I love.

Boston Trip

I got to spend the weekend with my sister, Marla, and my adorable niece, Justine, in Boston this past weekend. My brother-in-law was out in Arizona visiting his sister, so it was just the girls! I wanted to share some of my favorite pics from the weekend!

This one is from our trip to the Boston Children's Museum - what a great place for kids and adults! We had a lot of fun in the bubble room - Justine's favorite place. The BCM is huge and we only went through a few exhibits. Justine and I sat down and played some dominoes in the Boston Black exhibit.

We headed to Carson Beach and a nearby playground on Saturday.
Some of my favorite images were from when we were justing hanging out and I got to get some pictures of Justine's daily routine.

I'll share more pictures from my trip later in the week, including a slideshow, so check back!
